So this is the dismal policies page as of 1/14/20.   Andrew Yang is NOT in the debate and I've now heard from several other disappointed (ex) supporters.   Just like me, they hoped for a campaign focused on the POLICIES.

It's sad to see so much potential wasted.

I've had enough of politics for a while.  This was a GIANT waste of my precious time.   And after Andrew drops out, maybe he'll have time to discuss how to actually implement his policies and get the word out.

I would have posted literally HUNDREDS of links on social media if he had a functioning website.  And even now that the scrollbar is fixed, I don't really feel like posting a link to his voting thing, can't remember the name and it would literally take me MINUTES to find it because it's such a shitty website -- without ANY regard for people with disabilities and supporters who actually CARE.

I do NOT want to support a candidate whose website I have to apologize for when posting a link.

BTW, where you see "our policies", that's NOT a link.  MORONS.

It's been two years since I updated here.  It's another election year and I plan to make time to ask our candidates hard questions.  We were just discussing on Facebook why we do what we do and here are my thoughts:

I've lived about 10 miles south of Meadview  for 20 years ago -- where people go to die.

I was only 41, but trying to get away from the rat race in the Bay Area.  I ended up consulting on the internet and running credit related internet forums with many thousands of members.

I didn't move to the desert to socialize, only knew a few neighbors.  11 years later I started the High Desert Gardening Club because I realized that our food became more and more toxic and that GMOs were causing so much sickness and death. 

All hell broke lose with the Meadview home owner association, the MCA, when I asked to use the MCA facilities for our meetings.

I had incorporated a 501c(3) non profit.  While I was an MCA member in good standing and ready to pay a security deposit for our monthly meetings, they would only allow MCA members to attend.  Most of our gardeners were not MCA members.  Meadview has no community center or any other venue for meetings such as grief support, cancer, whatever ...

FYI:  As I attended several MCA board meetings, I learned how they violated state law, charging highly illegal late fees, they called the sheriff when I legally recorded the meetings (video) and lots of info is at the blog.

All I wanted was to bring GOOD FOOD to Meadview, help people with their gardens and educate the public about our toxic food and water.  I met so many suffering people, saw so much completely unnecessary disease, illness, death.

I'm an empath, I couldn't watch that and do nothing. And you can't organize anything when you don't have a meeting place.

A bunch of elitist narcissistic ruthless people -- here it's the wealthy retirees, in the Bay Area it was the snobby techies.

My dream of living happily ever after in the beautiful desert can't turn into reality because I just can't ignore the needless pain and suffering all around me.

The bulldozing of Joshua Trees by venture capitalist Al Barbarich, all these farmers using and polluting our drinking water to grow toxic food, much for export.

For 11 years I stuck my head in the sand. I had a lot going on with my online activities and LOVED being alone, just my dog and me.

I can't unsee what I've seen. Unsmell what I've smelled.

And then there's the apathy of almost all residents.

"That's just how it is here, you have to expect that when you move to this rural area."

When I turned 60, and other people might say they'll do LESS, I decided to do as much as I can while I can.

At least he was found quickly and didn't have a pet. But he didn't have to die, and especially not like that.  Alone, in a camper with no electric, no cooling in July, no running water, no functioning bathroom, sick with diarrhea. 

I hoped to get a settlement to buy a building this year and bring some social services and a meeting room to Meadview, but now it looks like it'll be a few more years.

No shortage of things to do though.

The fruit trees are growing, they all need new water wells, deep, large and level to collect as much water as possible. I'm redesigning my irrigation outside the garden, from 1/2 inch poly to flood watering. It's a little like terracing and I just drive up with the water truck as needed for deep watering. The water runs from tree to tree and it gives me a few minutes to check on the trees and enjoy being out there.

I need a sunny and dry spring, last winter and spring were so awful. Got help on the way to make a bunch of adobe bricks for various projects, finish the chicken coop and fence it.

It's an election year. Love Andrew Yang's policies, but his campaign sucks.  Hope to inspire discussion of the issues and focus on local candidates.

2016 was the first time I paid attention to local politics, had just gotten on FB (hated it), but I had to get involved because of the Muslim hating.

I'm German and I made 20 trips to the Middle East from 76 - 80. Nobody ever treated me better than the Lebanese and Syrians, whether they were Muslim or Christian.  So kind, incredible hospitality, food to die for, people to die for.  I won't stand for the hating and lies.  Not back then and not now.

1) Send 10 cents for the screening and a BONUS to every worker who got screened out, of course along with an apology, briefly explaining that Andrew Yany does NOT condone the exploitation of the workers and a link to his POLICIES, NOT to a donation link.  Preferably after they fix the website so it works in Firefox.

2) The "requesters" (companies who offer work on Mturk) can see how much the workers average per hour for each job they post.  If it's LESS than $15 hr, send everybody the DIFFERENCE between the average pay and the $15.  Again, along with an apology and the commitment to FAIR treatment of the workers.

3) A PUBLIC statement, explaining how this happened (I'd sure like to know!) and assuring us that this it was NOT Andrew's intention to exploit workers and that he will strive to prevent such exploitation in the future.  ADD it to the website policies. 

WALK YOUR FUCKING TALK, ANDREW YANG!

THIS is what it's all about.

The fight for social justice and fair pay MUST be a priority for Andrew Yang and he MUST lead by example!

I just saw a Yang Gang HIT on Amazon's infamous MTurk site. I couldn't do the work because I was screened out, like many others.

OP's mad because websites that host surveys, like Qualtrics, Survey Monkey, etc allow the surveyors to screen people out who are not qualified for the survey (based on responses to a couple intro questions). OP was screened out after a couple questions and is angry that he wasn't paid anyway. The survey was posted onto Mturk for that site's users to take, and so he blames Andrew Yang's campaign, despite having no proof that this experience connects with Yang whatsoever. Frankly, it has nothing to do with Amazon Mturk, either. Just seems like a disgruntled "worker" situation..Trying to drag big names into their "problem" for attention.

To clarify, your issue has nothing to do with Andrew Yang's campaign, and you getting screened out was the right thing to happen. You weren't exploited. You were trying to exploit survey "work" on Mturk.

As much as I appreciate Andrew's policies, the more I learn about his campaign, the scarier it gets.   And so many of his supporters are just DUMB and MEAN.  The exact opposite of Andrew.

Once I tweet this, it may hurt the cause for a LONG time.  I can delete my tweet, but I can't delete the retweets and screenshots.

I just saw a bunch of videos of Trump stating that Obama would attack Iran to get re-elected in 2011 and that Obama would start a war against Iran in 2015.  It was GREAT to see what a stupid moron Trump is.

Maybe Andrew Yang is just a great actor?  He sure had me fooled and I have a really good BS detector.  I thought he's sincere, competent, accomplished.

Everything I've seen tells me he's just like Trump, just a much better liar.  Although I have a really hard time believing that I can be fooled like that.  Maybe it's my Alzheimer's?

Tried to post a link to the Freedom Dividend and as I was once again resorting to Chrome to try to get there, I noticed that little button in the lower left again, clicked, and WOW, saw a link to submit problems.

WTF happened to putting a webmaster link on the bottom of the page?  I don't think I've complained about that yet.

It took me so long to take the screenshots etc., I don't have the slightest clue where I wanted to post that link.  It was FB, had to do with Trump trying to kick people off disability.  Oh well ...

I do like this Userway thingy, but, since *** I *** didn't see it and after all this time nobody in the Yang Gang told me, I don't think anybody knows about this but "professional" disabled people.

Folks who ignored us and who never talked about our campaign have, in the past 48 hours, become policy experts on every single one of Andrew’s 150+ policies.

Wow.  How impressive!  150+ policies!

So why the fuck isn't he making them available?

If this was MY campaign, EVERY fundraising email would be about one of those policies.  

I would ask my supporters NOT for money, but to tell all their friends to focus on the ISSUES.

I would discuss in the fundraising emails differences or the complete absence of these issues on the other candidates' sites and urge everyone to demand statements on the issues from "their" candidate.

And yes, there would be a donation link:

Dennis Kucinich was the last presidential candidate I'm aware of who actually had a forum where people could ask questions.  With a highly organized website, it would be easy to get people links to the policies and to have an FAQ for every policy with answers to common questions.

Yes, it takes expert moderators to deal with serious questions and to weed out the trolls.  But it's 2020 and I can't believe how amateurish this campaign is run -- by a TECHIE with many MILLIONS of dollars!

I was quite impressed with Andrew's interview with the undecided voters, especially when Andrew explained why EVERYBODY should get the Freedom Dividend. 

It is critical that the people who pay for the Freedom Dividend get their share like everybody else -- no matter how rich. 

We need to stop the divisiveness -- while also reducing the exploitation of the poorest.

There should be a special section explaining those kinds of objections.  Maybe put a number on administrative cost savings, we don't need another bureaucracy to qualify recipients and it would eliminate most food stamps administration.   It's so much easier to just put it all in writing and then voters have their answers.

Ranked voting is THE way to go.  

ALL candidates ought to chime in.  

ALL candidates ought to have WRITTEN POLICY STATEMENTS for future reference.  Talk is cheap.  I understand that sometimes reality gets in the way of campaign promises, but at least we deserve an explanation when things don't go as planned.

I'd like to see a comprehensive listing of those 150+ policies along with the other candidates positions.

Obama so LIED to us in his campaign, promising GMO labeling.  And then he sold us out to the bio tech industry in his LAST year, with NO reason to NOT veto the DARK Act and bring attention to this important part of The Genocide.  I'm so tired of thuggy lying politicians, selling us out for WHAT?  What did Obama get?
