We've talked about it for years and finally it's time to get started.

Many police and fire departments provide this daily phone call free of charge, but it's not happening in Mohave County.  Our fire district was asked at the last meeting, but it wasn't on the agenda, so hopefully it will be discussed next month.

There are also several paid services STARTING at $15/month, but we'd like to keep it FREE.

Since we have no volunteers and no community whatsoever in Meadview, the people participating will make the calls.

I'll maintain a listing of all participants with their phone numbers, addresses and special instructions for calls and in case we need to check on someone.

We might rotate so that a participant makes the calls for a week and maintains the check-in list.  Or maybe someone enjoys making the calls and volunteers for several weeks or longer. 

We're starting with only 3 or 4 people and we'll see how it goes.
