Last of the Spanish Mustangs - Video
A heartbreaking documentary about the wild mustangs in the Cerbat mountain off Stockton Hill Rd on the way to Kingman. Arizona and its politicians are OWNED by ranchers with millions of free ranging cows (causing many accidents).

While these videos focus on wild horses and range management, you'll also get so see the back country.

Len Johnson's first 2006 video Last of the Spanish Mustangs (23 min):

The 2016 followup video Wild Spanish Mustangs (40 min):

I've never seen the Cerbat herd (don't have 4 WD), but have seen pictures posted on Facebook.

It is so sad that these mustangs are almost extinct -- because it's more important to let the ranchers have all of what little feed there is for millions of cows.  The good news is that apparently the Cerbat ranchers, farmers and BLM leave this herd alone and maybe even support it.

Lots of info is at https://www.lenjohnson.org/

I'm going to have to watch the video again to get all the names of people and organizations supporting the Certbats:

http://www.jersanctuary.org/  -- looks like a great place to volunteer and visit!

Don't miss their videos. Since one can drive there, that will have to be an outing soon.
